Eight persons - Sonal, Sejal, Samar, Sneha, Smarika, Sarita, Sapna and Shaurya, who like different colours - Brown, Red, Blue, Yellow. Green, Pink, Purple and Black are sitting in a single row not necessarily in the same order. Four persons are facing north while four persons are facing south. Persons sitting at the end are facing the opposite direction.

Sonal who likes purple colour is sitting third to the right of Smarika who is sitting at one of the ends and both of them face the same direction. Only two persons sit between Sonal and the person who likes pink. Pink is not liked by Smarika. Sejal who likes black is sitting adjacent to Shaurya who likes pink but is not sitting at the end. Sneha who likes brown is sitting second to the right of Sejal. The person who likes Green and the person who likes red are sitting adjacent to each other but neither of them is liked by Smarika. Sapna, who likes yellow, and Sonal are sitting immediate right of each other and Sonal is not facing south. Only two persons are sitting between Sapna and Sarita who likes red. Samar is sitting fourth to the right of Shaurya and immediate right of Sarita.
