Dear Sir 

Through the columns of your newspaper, I would like to express my views on the degrading living conditions in my city. Dumps of garbage have been growing everyday in public places around the city despite the rising cases of dengue and malaria. Several people have succumbed to these diseases in the past few weeks. However, the loss of so many lives has not pushed the municipal authorities to take any action. Clearing away these festering dumps immediately is extremely necessary for the well-being of our citizens. I would like to bring this matter to the attention of the concerned authorities as soon as possible. Only then our standard of living may improve.
