For a connection, as shown in figure below, uses 24 mm diameter bolt having net tensile stress area of 353 mm2 in each shear plane to connect an ISF 175 × 12 mm with gusset plate. Block shear strength of the joint need not be considered. (Take ultimate stress of bolt and plate as 400 MPa and 410 MPa).
