A rectangular cross section cantilever beam of uniform strength is having varying depth along the length and constant beam width ‘b’. There is point load ‘P’ acting at free end of cantilever beam as shown in figure. The deflection at mid-point of this beam of uniform strength will be __ times of  the deflection at the mid-point of the another cantilever beam of uniform rectangular cross section with constant depth ‘d’ and constant width ‘b’ under the action of same magnitude of point load ‘P’ at free end.
