Permanent tissue in plants comes in three types: simple, complex, and secretory. Simple permanent tissues include parenchyma, collenchyma, and sclerenchyma, serving functions like storage, photosynthesis, and support. Complex permanent tissues, such as xylem and phloem, facilitate water, mineral, and food transport. Adipocytes store energy, chondrocytes maintain cartilage, and osteocytes form bones.
