Comprehension Passage

Directions: Read the following passage and answer the given questions:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced the start of the 5G era in India at the India Mobile Congress (IMC). The launch also saw announcements by the private CSPs on providing 5G services across India by the end of 2023 or early 2024. While several cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Bangalore, and others, already have access to 5G services, over the next few months, the CSPs will be expanding the 5G services to new areas and introducing new use cases. For the deployment of the 5G network, Nokia has already made deals with Reliance Jio and Bharti. Reliance Jio is planning for a pan-India 5G presence by the end of 2023, while Bharti Airtel is aiming for a pan-India footprint by the end of March 2024. Vodafone Idea also announced that it is planning to launch a 5G service in India soon. As of now, Airtel 5G services are available only in eight cities: Delhi, Nagpur, Varanasi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The company announced that it would be covering the entire country by March 2024. Reliance Jio’s 5G service will be available in four cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi initially before it is expanded across the country by December 2023.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the government body that handles telecom operations in the South Asian nation, in its recent order to telecom operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, directed them to restrict their infrastructure enabling C-Band 5G networks (between 3.3 and 3.67 GHz) from being more than 1.3 miles (2.1 kilometres) away from runway endpoints at all airports in the country. It also ordered all three operators to limit the power emission of their equipment installed beyond the given range. The restrictions were implemented in response to concerns raised by the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The aviation department suspected that 5G networks operating on the C-band spectrum would interfere with the flight altimeter—the device that helps pilots maintain the required altitude during flight.
