The findings of Harvard University inferred that 85% of times procurring a job is because of one's attitude. Even in health promotion, attitude plays an important role. The tripartite model of attitude serves as an 'ego defensive' function. Sometimes our behaviour does not fit with our attitude. Such events result in unpleasant feelings one would try to wriggle out. Bringing attitude under the context of health behaviour, Fishbein and Ajzen developed a model. Later Ajzen identified another significant part that was missing in the model and modified the name of the model. He propounded that "One fails in health behaviour when one believes that one can not follow health behaviour due to lack of opportunity".
