Some friends went to a restaurant to catch up after their vacation. They sit around a square table facing inside in such a way that some people sit at corners and some people sit at the side of the table. Only one person can sit at the side of the table and one at the corner of the table.
Each of them went to a different place in Europe and at least one person visited a country.
The places they went to were as follows:
Louvre Museum (LM) and Eiffel Tower (ET) in France, Sistine Chapel (SC) and St. Peter’s Basilica (SPB) in Vatican City, Buckingham Palace (BP) and Westminster Abbey (WA) in London, and Christ the Redeemer (CTR) in Brazil.
The following is known about their seating:
D sits at a corner and went to the Vatican City. The one who went to see Christ the Redeemer sits at a corner only beside the one who went to Westminster Abbey. Q did not go to London and does not sit beside the one who went to France. No two people who went to the same country sit together. R went to France. A sits opposite Q but did not go to France. Nobody sits opposite the one who went to the Louvre Museum. C went to the Eiffel Tower and sits opposite to the one who went to St. Peter’s Basilica. The one who went to Buckingham Palace sits opposite the one who went to Westminster Abbey. There is an empty seat third to the left of D. A sits at a corner and did not go to Brazil. E did not go to France. B went to the Westminster Abbey.
