According to the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005

only sons or male members of the family can have right in family property
2
only wife has right to inherit property of her deceased husband
3
sons, daughters and their mothers can get an equal share of family property
4
followers of the Arya Samaj will not be governed by this Act
