Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow:
Dr. Chaddha was a successful & famous medicinal doctor. Many serious & ill patients got well after being treated by his expert clinical advice and medicines. He had earned enormous money & led a luxurious life in his palatial home. He was very particular about his daily routine; a morning walk followed by yoga, reaching his clinic on time & ending the day with a round of golf. Few kilometers away from Dr. Chaddha's residence, lived an old & poor couple with their 7 year old son. They lived in a small hut, collected pieces of wood from the jungle and sold it to earn their livelihood. One day, their son fell sick with high fever and had severe breathing problems. The couple consulted traditional healers but that led to no improvement. People suggested that they should go to Dr. Chaddha's clinic, but the couple could not even dream of consulting him because of his high consulting fees.
As the son's condition worsened, they gathered some courage and visited the doctor's clinic in the evening. “Sir, my son is suffering from high fever and has difficulty in breathing. Please help us and prescribe some good medicines”, said the old man. Dr. Chaddha without looking at the boy, replied, “No. This is my time to play golf and I need to leave. Sorry, I can't help you.” The old man pleaded again, “Please doctor, my son will die. Show some mercy on us. We are old and poor. If he dies, we would be left alone with no support.” Dr. Chaddha refused to listen & sitting in his luxury car, zoomed away.
The poor, helpless couple came back home and their son died the same night. Few years later, Dr. Chaddha's 12 year old son was bitten by a poisonous snake and the venom turned his body blue. No medicines seemed to work on him. All the medical experts from the area attempted to treat the boy, but could not succeed. The news reached the old man, who knew how to cure a snake bitten person. He murmured, “Now Dr. Chaddha will understand pain.” When someone suggested that he should visit the ailing boy, he said, “Why should I go when he did not help me? I lost my only son. Why should think about the person because of whom my son died?” However, his conscience was against his oral statements. He tried to sleep, but could only think of the doctor's son. Finally, in the chilly winter night, he started walking towards the doctor's home. He had no warm clothes, but with the strength of humility, he kept walking.
He reached and saw the snake bitten son of Dr. Chaddha. He could sense some sign of life. He asked the servants to get water from a nearby well and gently poured it on the unconscious body. The process continued for some time. In the meantime, the old man chanted some mantrastoo. After few hours, as the sun peaked out with a bright ray of hope, the boy slowly opened his eyes. The doctor & his wife were ecstatic to see their son alive & started searching for the old man who had cured their son. The old man had already left. Dr. Chaddha said “It was dark but I could see the old man. I denied my services few years back when he came with his ailing son to my clinic. I owe him an apology. God has taught me a lesson.”
