Eight persons J, L, M, R, S, T, V, and X lives in a four-storey building. Each floor has two flats namely Flat A and Flat B. Flat A is to the left of Flat B on each floor. Each flat has a different theme color namely Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, and Yellow but not necessarily in the same order. The floors are numbered 1 to 4, the bottommost floor being numbered 1.

The flat with the Blue theme is immediately above R. V lives in a flat with a Pink theme on an even-numbered floor. Neither L nor M lives on Floor number 1. Two floors are there between the flats with Orange and Red theme. J lives on floor 1 in a flat with a Purple theme. Neither L nor X lives in the flat with a Yellow theme. The flat with a Brown theme is on an even-numbered floor. T lives in the flat to the immediate right of the flat with a Pink theme. S lives in the flat with a Green theme immediately above the flat with Red theme.  T and X live in the same flat.
