Direction: Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow. Some words are highlighted. Pay close attention to those words.

When Sudha, a doctor by profession, first noticed the boy, she immediately realized that he was poor. He was dressed in torn and shabby clothes and his hair was dirty and uncombed. Then her eyes met the object he held firmly in his hand. It was a science textbook. Sudha was curious to know more and approached the boy. The boy told her that his parents had died a couple of years ago and he was urgently in need of financial help. He had passed his board exams with flying colours but did not have anyone to share his success with. Sudha felt pity for the boy and decided to do something for him and noted down his address; a slum in the heart of the city. Later that day when they were having dinner together, Sudha shared her experience with her father. They both agreed upon the fact that the boy should be helped and it would be a very sad thing to see a promising young boy not being able to realize his goals and dreams. Sudha took the boy under her wing, arranged for better accommodation and paid for all of his expenses.  Sudha was very kind to the boy and he was always very grateful to  Sudha and her family for the help he received from them.
