There are eight people – P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W – each of them belongs to a different company viz., C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7 and C8 but not necessarily in the same order. They live in an eight-storey building having floors numbered one to eight – each of them lives on a different floor. (The Ground Floor is numbered Floor No. 1, the Floor above it Floor No. 2 and so on).

There are five floors between the floors on which S and the person from C3 lives. The person from C1 lives immediately below P’s floor. W lives immediately above P’s floor and immediately below T’s floor. P is from C7. P lives on an even-numbered floor. Three people live between S and the person from C1. Three persons live between U and P. Three persons live between the persons from C2 and C8. The person from C8 lives on the floor immediately below the floor on which the person from C1 lives. Q lives on an even-numbered floor. R does not belong to C1. Four persons live between the persons from C2 and C4. U does not belong to C6.
