Direction: A passage is given and then three conclusions – I, II & III are given. You have to consider the information given in passage as true though it seems to be different from the actual facts. Then give your answer regarding the given passage that which of the conclusion/s is/are followed by it properly.

Passage:

One lesson many psychologists learn early in graduate school is to focus on topics that are serious. We are taught both explicitly and tacitly to hone in on phenomena that are connected to big theoretical frameworks and debates that have long lineages and much literature. Indeed, these are often framed as the kind of research questions that lead to conference talks, high-impact scholarly publications, prestigious jobs, and grant funding. By concentrating our collective energies on topics, our field is able to accumulate large bodies of evidence, refine its models, and make novel discoveries. This is all well and good, but it can lead to what social psychologist Rozin once famously described as holes in our understanding of human nature.

Conclusions:

I. The psychologists were asked to focus on serious topics because serious topics can pull in large crowds to work together and result in unique findings.

II. The psychologists were asked to focus on serious topics because only serious topics attract financial support, proper career prospects and a better lifestyle.

III. The psychologists were asked to focus on serious topics because more people are interested in discussing serious topics than trivial or uncommon topics.
