The word communication is derived from a Latin word "Communis" which means common. It is transmission and interacting of ideas, facts, opinions, feelings or attitudes. Communication plays a vital role in changing the behavior of the receiver. It could be in the form of words, symbols, signs, letters, or actions. It is a tool of management to get things done through people. Essentially while communicating there is a need for transmitter, message, symbols, channels, decoding, receiver, action and feedback. It is a continuous process or cycle of sending message and feedback. Thus communication is a conscious attempt to share information, ideas, attitude, feelings and liking with other people around. Communication is effective when the message is shared and understood by each other. There can be no communication if the receiver is in the same sense does not understand the information as it was intended to by the communicator. For effective communication not necessarily the receiver must agree or accept the information. It is sufficient if the message is understood. It may either be rejection.
