Comprehension Passage

Directions: Read the following passage and answer the given questions:

Human beings are a species of primates known as Homo sapiens. They are distinguished from other animal species by their highly developed brain, which allows them to think, reason, and communicate in complex ways. Humans also have a highly developed ability to use tools and manipulate their environment, which has allowed them to thrive in a wide range of habitats and environments. We, humans, tend to think of ourselves as better than, or at least separate from, all other species on this planet. But every species is unique in its own way, and so are we. For a long while, we thought that it was intelligence that set us apart. But we now know better. Whales, dolphins, crows, parrots, and apes, to name a few, are all incredibly intelligent creatures with the ability to solve complex problems, use tools, and communicate with one another. What really sets us apart from other species is our capacity for empathy, compassion, and kindness. We have the capacity to understand the feelings of others and to recognize the inherent value of all living creatures. This is a trait that is uniquely human, and it is what makes us special. Humans are also the only species that have the capacity to reflect on the past and plan for the future. Additionally, humans are capable of forming social relationships, a trait that is not commonly seen in other animal species.

Which one of the following statements is true, according to the author?

1
Humans are social creatures.
2
Human beings are the only species known to have developed a moral code.
3
Human beings are different from other living beings.
4
