The given line graph shows information about the number of students studying in college Q is how much percentage more or less than the number of students studying in college P in five different years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively.

 

 

 

Note: (Number of students in P or Q = Number of males + Number of females)

i) Number of students studying in college P in 2015 is ‘a’  number of students studying in college Q in 2015 is ‘b’.

ii) Number of students studying in college P in 2017 is ‘(b + 40)

iii) Number of students studying in college P in 2019 is (a + 200) which is 140 more than the number of students studying in college Q in 2017.

iv) Number of students studying in college P in 2016 to number of students studying in college Q in 2016 are in the ratio 5: 7.

v) Number of students studying in college Q in 2017 < Number of students studying in college P in 2017.(all the remaining years number of students studying in college Q is more than the college P)

vi) Number of students studying in college P in 2018 is 200 which is 150 less than the number of students studying in college Q in 2016.

 If 20% of the students studying in college Q in 2016 are chemistry students and the remaining students are in the physics department and zoology department. If the number of students studying the zoology department is 80. Find the number of students studying in the physics department.
