Subject: An appeal to raise a concern about the improper disposal of protective masks in public.

 

Respected Sir/Ma’am,

With due respect, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that even though face masks are commonly used for personal protection against Covid-19, some people are throwing them away in the wrong places. With the help of your famous newspaper column, I would like to publicize this issue.

Concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and important government efforts to raise awareness of the need for protective measures have led more people to use face masks to protect themselves from the disease. This is great, but when people dispose of these masks carelessly in places like bodies of water or ditches, they create problems without realizing the potential harm.

Since the possibility of infection through accidental contact increases, I would like to ask the public through your prestigious publication. Instead, masks should be safely disposed of in an approved location.
