Following are the conditions to get a driving license in India:
i. The candidate should have completed 8th standard.
ii. The candidate should have a proof of address.
iii. The candidate should be at least 18 years old.
iv. The candidate should have completed his/her road safety test with at least 70% marks.
If the candidate fulfils the above criteria
Except:
I: If the candidate has not secured at least 70% in his/her road safety test and qualifies all the other conditions, then an additional test will be taken for the candidate.
II: If the candidate does not have proof of address, and qualifies all the other conditions, then his/her case is referred to the Customer Help Department.
