Comprehension Passage

Direction: Read the following passage and answer the question given below:

Pacemakers are secretive little devices. A cardiologist must see a patient to know whether the machine is really doing its job. Now a German company called Biotronik has developed a pacemaker that clears up the mystery: It faxes daily reports to the doctor. A computer chip in the Biotronik pacemaker tracks heart rhythm and the number of jolts delivered. Patients keep a transmitter in a purse or on a bedside table. It forwards the details to Biotronik, triggering the delivery of a fax to the doctor’s office. If patients experience scary symptoms, they can wave a magnet in front of their chests to prompt an immediate transmission. Slightly more expensive than traditional pacemakers, it averages about $60,000. The Biotronik pacemaker is available now.
