The area which witnessed the valour of Rajputs in Medieval times is one of the most colourful lands of India, however though extremely rich in culture the land suffers from some of the great oddities. Gender disparity, honour killings and female infanticides are some of the disreputable issues which taint the political and social frameworks of the state. These issues plague and tarnish the image of a land so culturally rich. She was one of the members of an NGO who had taken up cudgels to voice her angst against gender bias and inequality of the feminine gender.
