A stream discharge is calculated by dilution technique. If a 25 mg/lit of a fluorescent tracer was discharged into a stream at a constant rate of 10 m3/sec. The background concentration of the dye in the stream water was found to be zero. At a downstream section the dye was found to reach an equilibrium concentration of 5 ppm.

1
Stream discharge is 40 m3/sec
2
Stream discharge is 40 lit/sec
3
If the concentration of tracer is doubled then change in stream discharge is 50 m3/sec
4
If the concentration of tracer is doubled then stream discharge is 90 m3/sec
