In order to prevent pollution from landfill operation which of the following provisions are supposed to be made?

(i) The storm water drain shall be designed and constructed in such a way that the surface runoff water is diverted from the landfilling site and leachates from solid waste locations do not get mixed with the surface runoff water

(ii) Non-permeable lining system should be provided at the base and walls of waste disposal area.

(iii) Provisions for management of leachates including its collection and treatment shall be made.
