The six recruits P, Q, R, S, T and U likes to play Football, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball and Hockey. Recruits are from 3 battalions Alpha , Beta and Charlie. Two recruits from each battalion are there in this group.

The recruit U who likes Volleyball is in Alpha battalion with Q. The recruit T who likes Football is in Charlie battalion with the one who likes Tennis. The recruit R who likes Hockey is in Beta battalion with P. Cricket is not liked by one who is in Beta Battalion.
