The avocado is a greenish, thick - skinned drupe, similar in size and shape to a large pear. The peach is a common name for a deciduous orchard tree of the rose family and is the fruit of this tree. The plum fruit tree is of a genus of the rose family. About 12 species of the plum are cultivated throughout temperate regions.
