Tim Berners-Lee advocated four rules for converting datasets to LOD. These are:

(A). Create a single globally connected data space based on the web architecture

(B). Use URIs as names for things

(C). Use HTTP URIs so that people can look up those names

(D). When someone looks up a URI, provide useful information, using the standards (RDF, SPARQL)

(E). Include links to other URIs, so that they can discover more things
