Banawali, notable for findings such as a replica of a plough and a clay figure of the mother goddess, was excavated by R.S. Bist in 1973 in Haryana, illustrating the agricultural sophistication of the era. The port city of Lothal, uncovered by S.R. Rao in 1954, revealed advanced dockyard structures.
