Comprehension Passage

Read the following passage  and answer the following questions  -

Once, a Hare enjoyed great popularity among the other beasts, all of whom claimed to be her friends. However, one day, she heard the hounds approaching and sought refuge with her many supposed friends. Desperate to escape the impending danger, she approached the horse first, asking him to carry her away from the hounds on his back. The horse, however, declined, citing important work for his master and suggesting that her other friends would surely come to her aid. Disappointed, she then turned to the bull, hoping he would repel the hounds with his horns, but he too refused, claiming an appointment with a lady and directing her to the goat. The goat, fearing harm to his back, redirected her to the ram, who, citing the risk of hounds attacking sheep, declined involvement. As a last resort, the Hare approached the calf, who, reluctant to take responsibility due to his young age and the refusal of older beasts, also refused to help. With the hounds drawing near, the Hare fled and fortunately escaped, relying on her own speed for survival.

How did the horse respond when the Hare asked for help?

1
He agreed immediately
2
He declined, citing important work
3
He directed her to the bull
4
