Directions: Read the following information carefully and answer the questions that follow.

The Indian Navy invites Engineers to join as Short Service Commission Officers in the Executive Branch for the year 2018. Following are the eligibility conditions for the same.

i) The applicant should be born between 02 January 1994 and 01 July 1999(both dates inclusive).

ii) Applicant should have completed Engineer Degree or in the final year of Engineering Course from a recognized educational institution with 60% marks till 5^th semester in regular course.

iii) Applicants will be issued a Call letter for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview based on their academic performance till the 5^th semester of the Engineering Course (above 60%).

iv) Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body except on the inner face of forearms.

In case of an applicant who satisfies all conditions except,

a) At iii) above, the applicant had enrolled in an Integrated course should have an aggregate of 70% till their 7^th semester, then he will be allowed to appear in the interview.

b) At iv) above, if the applicant has permanent body tattoos, certain concessions are permitted to applicants belonging to the tribal area communities as declared by the Government of India, then they will be allowed to write a written test.
