In Holgundi area of Karnataka the wells have some water only in rainy days. Everything had dried up there. There was no water for drinking, for growing crops, or for animals. People had to leave their village and go to nearby towns for some work. A group of children came together to solve this problem. The tank was first properly cleaned. Grass and trees were planted all around the tank. The hard work of of the group had shown results and finally water was collected in the wells.
