Comprehension Passage

Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow.

It was a chilly winter morning. A farmer was on his way to the field. Not very far from his home, he found a small snake, almost frozen with cold. The man took pity on the tiny creature. He picked it up and put it on his chest to warm it up-although he knew how deadly it could be. Then he placed the snake in a jar and brought it home. He let the snake loose near the fire. The warmth helped the snake to uncoil and move about. The farmer's little son was playing nearby. The snake slowly started slithering towards him. When it was about to bite the boy, the farmer noticed it. Without wasting a second, he picked up a stick and beat the snake to death. This made him realize that he should have killed the snake as soon as he had seen it since the nature of some cannot be changed. He thanked god for saving his son's life.

What is the lesson the farmer learned from this incident

1
Kill a snake instantly after seeing it.
2
Do not take a snake home
3
Clear the bushes where snakes hide
4
Befriend a known traitor at your own peril.
