Greenery means forests, open green fields, etc. Greenery has become much more important and essential in the current scenarios when unplanned urbanization is at its peak. Green spaces in the cities are as indispensable as lungs are for breathing for purification of the environment of the area. Everyone knows how highly polluted the cities these days are! Most of the pollution comes from industry and vehicles. 

The ever increasing urbanization due to increasing population cannot be stopped. The best option is the construction of smart cities that are well planned and are installed with pollution treatment plants and are based on sustainable development principles must be the law. No unplanned human settlements should be allowed. Since the land is the limiting factor in the entire world, and mankind has already denuded billions of hectares of forests, apartment buildings should be constructed. There are no disadvantages to greenery. Greenery might increase insects but they don’t pose as serious threats as the absence of greenery would.

The people must give the environment the top priority even while constructing any building, settlement, township, or city. The pristine green belt left sparsely must not be touched at all. These green spaces are unique purifiers. So they must be maintained and preserved at any cost. The Government must act strictly. There should be promoted to the use of green and clean fuels. The government must create a forest belt near every city or town. Toxic emissions of industries must be strictly regularized. Installation of toxic smoke and effluents treatment plants must be mandatory at every industrial unit. With these measures strictly and immediately implemented the environmental health will improve considerably.
