Traditionally in many textbooks, the concept of ‘Plants’ is introduced to young children by providing explanations on ‘typical parts of a plant’. But now the EVS teacher teaches the concept of ‘plants’ by first introducing the theme of ‘Food’ starting with which plants do children eat and what parts of a plant do they eat, etc. The teacher is facilitating exploration from:
