Read the following paragraph and answer the following questions:

In the year 2023, flood was reported across different parts of Northern India (states) during the monsoon period (JJA Months). The flood caused severe damage in terms of economic loss (measured in crore); mortality (died, alive) across all reported states. The estimated loss was around 50,000 crore (INR). A total of 500,000 individuals were affected due to flood and many could not be traced. The degree of damage (economic loss) was found to be proportional to number of days the rain occurred and its duration (measured in hours). For the sake of simplicity the degree of damage, and amount of rainfall, and duration were categorized into three groups based on their respective quartiles (less than first Quartiles in between first and second quartile, greater than second quartile). The test of association revealed significant results when quartile based observation of economic loss were compared with quartile based observations of days of rainfall and duration.
