A different kind of historian wan Barani, whose work, written in 1357, is a history of the Delhi Sultanate from the point where Minhaj Siraj ended his narrative. Barani is different from his peers, especially because he takes up aspects of life other than dynastic and political, such as economic, social, intellectual and religious.
