Comprehension Passage

Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow :

What do you think is scary? A Halloween spook house? A haunted corn maze? A slasher movie? Certainly these kinds of things can give you a shiver, but really don't we all know they are just make- believe, acknowledged fictions? In real life, what is more likely to be really scary are things like finding your keys locked in the car, or discovering termites in the foundation of your home, or hearing the telephone ringing in the middle of the night.

Urban legends (ULS) are scary when they combine horror fiction with the details of real life. In typical ULs you encounter shocks such as lurking criminals, threatening maniacs, vague unknown dangers, faulty products and isolated victims, all set in the context of everyday life. Such stories are told by a friend as something that happened to his or her close acquaintance (a friend of a friend, or a FOAF). Urban legends are packed with local details and related with an air of conviction. While these stories are not literally true, any more than a horror film is, when hearing them we realize that they could be true!

According to the passage, urban legends (ULS) are described as:

1
Fictional horror stories set in fantasy world
2
Narration of horror incidents
3
Stories that combine horror fiction with real-life details
4
Stories involving supernatural elements
