Eight people U, W, X, Y, Z, A, B and C live on four different floors of a building. Two people live on each floor but not necessary in the same order. Ground floor is numbered 1, floor above it is numbered 2 and so on till topmost floor which is numbered as 4. There are two flats on each floor- flat – 1 and flat – 2 from west to east such that flat – 1 is west of flat – 2. Flat – 1 of second floor is exactly above flat – 1 of first floor and exactly below the flat – 1 if third floor, other flats are placed in the same way.

1) U lives west of A.

2) A & Z live in an even flat but not on even floor.

3) C doesn’t live immediate of A.

4) X lives in a flat that is just above the flat in which Y live.

5) Z lives on the floor between the floors of W and X, but both live in flat – 1.
