Eight people Garima, Suresh, Ramesh, Harish, Alia, Deepika, Mohit and Ritik live in an eight-storey building but not necessarily in the same order. The ground floor is numbered 1 and the floor above it is numbered 2 and so on until the topmost floor is numbered 8.

Ramesh lives on an odd-numbered floor but not on 3rd and 5th floor. Suresh lives three floors above Harish. Garima lives on a floor below Ritik who lives immediately above Alia. An equal number of people live above Mohit as below Deepika who does not live on the bottommost floor. There are only two people between Ramesh and Alia.
